What if you could meet some of the greatest artists of all time?

What kind of amazing adventures do you think you could have with Leonardo da Vinci, Frida Kahlo and Vincent van Gogh...just to name a few?

Well, in this book, YOU get to decide!

And it all starts, as many creative adventures do, in the art room with three mysterious doors. One door looks to be carved out of pure gold as it sparkles and shines under a dim light. Another is old and battered and covered in signs that warn you to 'Keep Out!' and 'Stay away!' And the third door looks normal enough...except for the clock that hangs above whose hands seem to be spiraling out of control. What could possibly be behind these mysterious doors?

Only one way to find out!

As an art teacher, I always enjoyed reading chapter books to my students in second grade and up as they worked on their creations. This made for a calm environment where my students could get lost in their creativity and imagination. However, I couldn't find a book that was both fun to read and art-inspired. So...I decided to write one!

Each evening I researched the artists featured in this book and wrote tales of adventure and intrigue. The following day, I'd read the stories aloud to my students and not only did they love it but...they learned all about famous artists, creativity and finding their own way in the world.

Written in short chapters, this book allows for the reader to decide which artistic adventure to go on with 32 different endings! Not only that but this book features biographies of each of the 7 artists featured as well as 7 art activities inspired by the artists!

The artists featured in the book include:

Augusta Savage

Frida Kahlo

Vincent van Gogh

Leonardo da Vinci (with special guest, Mona Lisa!)

Hokusai

Salvador Dali

and Claude Monet

An important message I always want to share with young artists is embracing who you are and finding your "own way". I selected each of these artists for their amazing ability to overcome many hardships and blaze a trail that was uniquely their own. Such is the wish for all of my students and...for the readers of Find Your Way!

This 5.5" X 7" book has 268 pages, over 80 illustrations, 7 artist biographies, 7 art activities and 32 different story endings.

Find Your Way: An Adventure Book!

I am a retired art teacher of 35 yr. My daughter teaches art. But I bought the book for my grandchildren and I to read together. We are loving it! I have recommended it to all my art teacher friends. What a fun way to introduce kids to art history.

I just bought two additional copies for grandchildren!

I bought my first copy to engage a granddaughter who doesn’t love reading, and I thought the options of choosing different endings would really appeal to her and keep her engaged. I haven’t finished reading it so far, but I liked what I read so much that I ordered two additional copies and I may be getting more for grandchildren! I love that the book is engaging and teaches about artists but I also love some of the other messaging that is coming through. As a former art teacher myself, I think I think this came off so well! It’s wonderful that Cassie includes some sample projects at the end and a brief biography of each artist. I also appreciate the diversity of artists chosen. Well done!

Fun and engaging

My young daughter and I have throughly enjoyed picking and choosing what happens next and anticipating if our chosen will lead us on a new journey or back to the school yard to start again. We are avid fans of Ms. Cassie’s videos and books. We want her to be our art teacher!
